For Dax's birthday we decided to go to dinner at Dairy Queen because my kids had been begging to go for food, not always just for ice cream, so we waited for Leif and Nelson to get home to go. Of course, as soon as we left our house Leif got a flood call, so we turned around, the guys left for work, and I went through the drive-thru and took the kids out to my parents' house. The only gift we got him was an elephant-shaped blow-up ball for a buck fifty.
And that's it. A two-year-old's birthday at its finest. (If you're looking for that Pinterest-perfect toddler party, you're gonna have to go elsewhere, man.)
We did have birthday dessert on Sunday, per family tradition, and the whole gang crowded into our echo-friendly house for it.
And just like that, my baby is two. Stupid aging.

I like your style! Forget the over the top parties for the 2 year olds.....
If we would have lived closer we would have also gotten him a $1 gift :)
