After I showered today, I put my hair in these weird knots all over my head as an experiment to make it curly. Then I sat down to finish my book (The Kitchen House--read it!), and in comes Gavin. We had a conversation about my weird hairdo, and Gavin said, "Yeah, it looks silly. I was going to say ugly, but I didn't because it would hurt your feelings." Then I must have spent a little too much time reading, because Gavin came in and said, "Mom, get up and do something!"
